&lt;p&gt;…as per request for son’s 14th birthday. He asked for Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese frosting - I used my favorite recipe from The Silver Palate cookbook. I had no idea how I was going to accomplish the requested Homer decoration, and my time was running out, so I winged it: I copied Homer’s picture from my kids’ book on how to draw the Simpsons…just did a freehand sketch with a butter knife in the icing and went back over it for the outline with ready-made black gel icing in a tube. Then spooned some yellow decorating sugar onto his face, and used mini-M&amp;M’s for his pupils. Scattered colored sprinkles in the background and used up the rest of the M&amp;M’s for added color.
